Every August my husband and I travel to London and Edinburgh with theatre students. We spend the first week in London. The distinct character of urban life always catches my attention. People of all different ages and nationalities are active participants in the life of the city. I chose a blue and grey palette to describe the predominant mood of the weather and architecture of London. I often purposely limit my palette to allow for freedom of movement with my brush while painting. This limitation helps to create an expressionist style.
